Sorry for the late updates! I've been busy, but that is not excuse when it comes to the land of blogs, so accept my apology!
First things first: Father Day Parfait!
My dad LOVES these, and for the fathers day dinner we had on my back porch at my house (where I grew up), I decided to whip up this healthy cool treat for my pops!
It consisted of:
-Organic Plain Yogurt
-Almond/Peanut Butter
-Raspberries
-Blueberries
-Granola (fiber one)
-Cashews
-Dash of Maple Syrup...better than any cake we could've ordered! ;)
Onto the next update: GREEN SMOOTHIES.
I have been loving these, during hot summer afternoons, and especially post workout. I get them at FRESH (veg restaurant in Toronto) and they usually run me about $6 bucks, but when you take into consideration there is an entire PLANT GARDEN in one of these eco-friendly cups, it's worth the extra ca$h.
More of these will be consumed throughout the summer for sure.
On the exercise front, i've decided to take up MUAY THAI. Yes, mixed martial arts.
Ever since I started to casually watch UFC years ago, i've been fascinated with Muay Thai, and as of 1-2 months ago, I decided to bite the bullet and have a session... result: INSTANT LOVE.
The only downer is the bruises that I am left with (as a result of all the kicks!)
Not gonna lie: i feel pretty hardcore ;)
